Our Swim Classes
At Virginia Sports Academy, our swim lessons help swimmers of all ages build confidence, safety skills, and technique in a supportive and encouraging environment. From beginner water exploration to advanced stroke development, our experienced instructors create a fun and positive experience for every swimmer.

Junior Husky Pup - Water Babies
30 MINUTE SESSIONS
Ages: Infants - Toddlers
Basic Water safety, basic water safety skills, water comfort, backfloat, successful up and unders, introduce kicking, learning through play (variety is key here)

Husky Pup - Beginner
30 MINUTE SESSIONS
Ages 3 - 6 Years
Introduce independent swimming, water safety skills, learn to kick properly, superman, introduce streamline, introduce arms, front breath, backfloat.

Husky - Beginner/Intermediate
30 MINUTE SESSIONS
Ages 3-8 Years
Proper out of water arms, kicks and front breath together as one, introduce backstroke, proper streamline.

Advanced Husky - Intermediate
30 MINUTE SESSIONS
Ages 3-8 Years
Learning proper freestyle with side breath. Proper side to side backstroke, streamline with dolphin kick, Introduce endurance building, introduce drills for freestyle and backstroke

Bronze Husky - Developmental Team
30 MINUTE SESSIONS
Ages 5-12 Years
Combining streamline with dolphin kick with freestyle and backstroke. Introduce arms for butterfly. Introduce breaststroke, heavy technique focus level, endurance building continues for freestyle and backstroke. Introduce drills for butterfly and breaststroke. Introduce flip turns.

Silver Husky - Swim Team Prep
45 MINUTE SESSIONS
Ages 5 - 18 Years
Swim team prep, class will now work like a swim team practice introducing more complex drills,. Introduce IM (indivdual medley), proper turns for all four strokes (including flip turn), high endurance building, learn proper training outside of the pool.

Gold Husky - Swim Team
1 HOUR SESSIONS
Advanced Swimmers
Swim team practice, this final level is now a proper swim team, detailed training outside of pool. High endurance and drill challenges, compete in local junior meets with goal of real meets.
